Cost Considerations

How much is extra business worth to you?

How much extra business do you want?

Why do you want a web site anyway?

Do you want a web site simply because your competitors have one?

Or do you want to use it as a powerful marketing tool?

These are all important questions you'll need to answer.

For most types of business, a realistic budget for successfully marketing your products or services via the web should be between 10 - 20% of your total annual marketing spend.

The actual design of a web site and hosting it on a fast internet server need not cost you more than a few thousand pounds - or several hundred, depending on the degree of complexity and functionality you require.

What is important is that, as a marketing tool, a web site reaches your potential customers - and that's where the smart money goes.

Perhaps you think that your product(s) or services can almost sell themselves. That may be true - although it's unlikely. A web site, however, does need expert marketing in order to achieve significant results.

Far too many web sites hardly break even, leaving their owners wondering why.

The most likely reason for this is that they've bought a web site and nothing more than a website. Most web developers are far too busy selling and designing web sites to be in a position to offer anything else.

Months down the line, their customers begin to wonder why their sales are not going up.

We are proud to say that we are not one of them. Instead we offer a complete service through our company Uni-Sys.

This starts with an initial one hour consultation that incurs no cost and doesn't obligate either party.

A Process of Consultation

In most cases, you will already know what sells your products or services.

You may have sales literature which incorporates a logo and projects a smart professional image. You may have corporate colours by which you wish to be identified. If this is the case, then most of the design work has already been done.

Or perhaps, you are a new company who have yet to establish itself in the marketplace. You may need some help and advice, copyrighting, graphic design or advertsising services.

Whatever your needs are - these are what we, as web consultants, try to establish from the outset.

Once we have determined what your requirements are we can then explain how we can best fulfil them.

After our initial meeting and when we have had time to carefully consider your answers, you'll receive a report which will give you an expert analysis based on the answers you gave to the various questions you'll be asked.

If you are happy with our suggestions, then we'll arrange a further meeting in order to take our discussion further and provide you with costings within a budget you've specified to us.

The Design Process

Style and feel

Using the materials you provide us with, i.e. brochures, artwork, photographs, image files, text files etc., we'll design an eye-catching homepage with the style and feel our designers think will work for you.

This will be hosted on one of our ultra-fast servers for you to view online and for you to make comments on.

Once you're happy with the style and feel, we'll then go on to construct the remaining pages, contact forms, links etc.

At each stage of the design process, you'll be able to view the work in progress and tell us where you would like to see some changes.

Once the design work is complete, we'll publish your website - it will instantly 'go live'.

As we said before, owning a web site is of little use if no-one can find you. So the next stage is the most important in terms of your ROI.

OPTION: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Your web site will then be expertly optimised in preparation for search engine submission. Optimisation includes the careful choosing of keywords (these are the words or phrases that your potential clients are most likely to use when searching for a product or service such as yours), adjusting keyword density (enriching the text within your site so that it is rich in keywords), reciprocal link farming (linking your site to other contextually relevant sites and getting them to link to yours), as well as creating powerful meta tags containing metadata - these are descriptions of your site that search engines use when deciding on where to place you.

OPTION: Site Submission

We will then submit your site for inclusion into the search engines that are most likely to be used by your potential customers, engines like Google, Yahoo etc.

OPTION: Paid Inclusion

If requested by you as part of your web-marketing campaign, we will also purchase Sponsored Links, Paid Inclusions, Pay-per-Click advertising, Ad words etc. - and in some cases at reduced rates because of our status as an Advertising Agency.

OPTION: SE Position Monitoring

We can monitor your position in the search engines and directory listings where you appear and alert you when your web site drops in rank below a pre-determined point so that you can decide whether further optimisations are necessary.
